Dad Bod Summer is proud to announce the acquisition of the domain www.TheTFordGolfClub.org, the official web home of one of East Anglia’s most historic golf courses. Originally founded in 1912, Thetford Golf Club was known as one of the premier heathland courses in the region, nestled on the sandy grounds of Thetford Warren, once used for rabbit breeding. Designed by Charles Mayo and later enhanced by Philip Ross-MacKenzie and legendary architect James Braid, the course evolved into a forest-lined masterpiece after the creation of Thetford Forest by the Forestry Commission post-WWI. As a Men's Mental Health Brand that donates 5% of our proceeds to Mental Health Charities, we are honored to preserve and spotlight golf institutions that stand the test of time.
The story of Thetford Golf Club is one of resilience and reinvention. In 1979, following the construction of a new clubhouse and the implementation of a new bypass, course architects Cameron Sinclair and Donald Steel redesigned several holes to create a more flowing and modern course layout. Despite damage from the hurricane of 1987, the new holes have matured into a beautifully blended 18-hole, 7,000-yard Par 72 course, with fairways separated by self-seeding trees and dotted with seasonal gorse, broom, and heather. This kind of rich tradition and character is exactly what Dad Bod Summer celebrates, reminding us that like life, golf is about adjusting, evolving, and enjoying the beauty along the way.
As part of this acquisition, ThetfordGolfClub.org will now forward to DadBodSummer.com, connecting a legendary UK course to our global mission of promoting mental wellness through golf, fishing, and fun. We’ve expanded our Golf Tee Time Collection, which features bold and relatable Golf T-Shirts, and added premium Golf Performance Hoodies built for comfort on and off the course. Whether you're hitting the back nine or just swinging by the clubhouse, our gear was made for the guys who play hard, laugh loud, and understand that the game is as mental as it is physical.
