Our newest partnership comes with the acquisition of TarponBendRawBarAndGrill.com, a Coral Gables, Florida staple that has been beloved for decades as one of Miami’s most vibrant raw bars, grills, and happy hour destinations.
Tarpon Bend Raw Bar and Grill was more than just a restaurant, it was an institution. Known for its award-winning wine list (recognized with Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence in 2016), Zagat ratings year after year, and countless “Best Of” awards from Miami publications, Tarpon Bend became a cornerstone for both locals and visitors. From legendary happy hours with live DJs, to brunches with bottomless mimosas and unforgettable menus, Tarpon Bend was the type of place where people gathered for food, laughter, and memories. Customers raved about signature dishes like calamari, truffle mac & cheese, tuna sashimi, and fish tacos that turned skeptics into fans. It was the perfect mix of great service, live music, and a melting pot of people—“the place to go on Friday for drinks and then stay for dinner.”
Though Tarpon Bend is currently closed, the name and its loyal following live on, and hopefully one day Tarpon Bend comes back to life. By partnering with Dad Bod Summer, all of Tarpon Bend’s history, customers, and community spirit now connect directly to our mission of promoting Men’s Mental Health Awareness. At Dad Bod Summer, we believe that gathering spaces like Tarpon Bend are more than restaurants, they’re safe havens where people share stories, celebrate life, and feel connected. That sense of community is at the heart of mental health.
Fishing, food, and friendship have always been tied together in our brand. Just as casting a line or boating offers a sense of peace and reflection, sitting around a table with good food and good people is its own kind of therapy. Our apparel and collections celebrate those traditions while donating 5% of proceeds to Mental Health charities. By carrying the Tarpon Bend Raw Bar & Grill name forward, we’re proud to blend its Coral Gables legacy with our national movement.
