Holy Crap, That Press Conference Was Amazing!

Wow.

That's all I can say to start this off.

Was that amazing or what?

Thursday night's Press Conference in Vegas to promote Wrestlemania 40 was one of the most exciting things that the WWE has done in years.

Like I said in my previous blog: these people are professionals and are the best in the world at what they do. In the last two weeks, I've had more friends of mine from high school and college reach out to ask me "are you watching this stuff with Cody Rhodes".

The WWE has achieved it's goal so far. People are buzzing. People are talking. And most importantly: people are watching.

A few years ago one of my best friends asked me a simple question: what character of The Rock did you enjoy the most. My answer was fast and direct: Hollywood Rock. Why? Because The Rock is at his best when he has the audience in the palm of his hand. When The Rock is a good guy, most of his catchphrases are a little too predictable sometimes. But when The Rock is a bad guy, you don't have a single clue what's coming out of his mouth next. No heel besides Ric Flair can say that they get a reaction out of the audience better than The Rock. And honestly, I bet you behind closed doors, Dwayne Johnson is welcoming this challenge with open arms. Does he still have it in him, even as one of Hollywood's biggest stars, to come back and play a character that he hasn't played in years? Trust me. He can. And he will.

The WWE has done such an amazing job of telling the story of Cody Rhodes wanting to win the WWE championship at Wrestlemania. Do you know why they've done such a great job at that? It's because every single part of it is true. This is Cody's dream and it's why he left AEW to come back to the WWE. When you have this fan favorite, top notch performer in Cody Rhodes, you need someone who the fans think is going to stop that performer from achieving their dream. And this time, that person is The Rock. And when you combine The Rock with his cousin, Roman Reigns, it's a trio that every Cody Rhodes fan will see in their sleep.

Thursday night started off with Seth Rollins on the stage by himself and ended with Seth, Cody, Roman Reigns, and The Rock trading blows.

Do I have a feeling what direction this storyline is headed? Absolutely. 100% yes.

But the WWE is at it's best when they throw the audience a curveball and something happens that you least expected.

Right now we are watching something that might never happen again and that's why, like I said in my previous blog, we should all just sit back and enjoy the show.

It's 2024 and The Rock is back in the WWE as a heel.

It's 2024 and Cody Rhodes has people talking about wrestling that haven't watched it in years.

It's 2024 and Roman Reigns is still the champion.

And guess what? They're just getting started.

Enjoy the show, folks.
